Research Survey – ADHD & Sport
Tuesday, March 29th, 2011Hi Everyone
We have been contacted by Daniel Steane, a student from Sheffield Hallam University who is studying sport coaching. As part of his degree he is required to do research to complete his dissertation.
The research looks to provide insight into the socialisation of children diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder within sport and the impact that sport may have in others areas of a child’s life using the opinions of parents/guardians. If you would like to help Daniel with this part of the process then please complete the online questionnaire. This will provide him with essential data for his dissertation.
To access the questionnaire click this link http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/CQ7997P
The questionnaire which is very easy to fill in must be completed by a parent or guardian and should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete. Once all the questions have been completed, please click “Done” at the bottom of the questionnaire.
If you wish to see the results once the dissertation has been completed you can contact Daniel by email: steanie_16@hotmail.co.uk or by phoning 07703 724 249
We will also ask Daniel to let us see details of the outcome.
Many Thanks

TO ALL PARENTS/CARERS OF YOUNGSTERS WITH ADHD
Wednesday, March 16th, 2011Hi there
Do you have a youngster with ADHD? Do you live within striking distance of Stafford? If so, would you be interested in joining us for a fun day out?
We at The Lighthouse Group are currently thinking about organising the next outing/activity for the children, hopefully next month. Several options regarding what to do/where to go are being looked at but initially, we need to register people’s interest in participating assuming we can find a mutually convenient date and something to suit all. If you think you would like to join us could you please let us know as soon as possible by emailing contact@lighthousegroup.org.uk and we can arrange for someone to chat to you about it. If you do decide that you and your youngster(s), want to be included, (siblings welcome too), we’ll let you know what the options are plus details and hold a vote to choose. If you have any suggestions about what your child would like, these can be added too.
From past experiences, we have found that because they have similar difficulties, the children always relate well and support each other and have a great time.
We really hope you will consider meeting up with us.
Best Wishes
The Lighthouse Group
